Poinsettia - still going strong

I've been watering this poinsettia regularly since Christmas but not sure how much longer I can keep it going - and why I'm bothering!  I don't know if one can keep them from year to year - I've never managed.

I missed a zumba class today for another fruitless house viewing.  Very disheartening.
