Widow of Fallen Soldier - Cannon Salute

A rather cloudy, sometimes rainy, & a bit sunny day here in Roche Harbor WA. Today is Memorial Day...a day to think about those who have died.

Here at Roche Harbor they had an amazing ceremony complete with bagpipes and a "widow" placing a wreath for her fallen husband, along with a color guard and soldiers. After 3 rounds were fired from the cannon, they played Taps and Amazing Grace. A fitting tribute!
