Nicknames

One of my favorite flowers, petunia. ( was also one of my nicknames-my grandmother had for me when i was being good:) Another nickname I had was "sasspariila"! (real word-sarsaparilla) ! My dad called me that! (To mention only a few dr. Seus like, hilarious nicknames! ) I asked him where in the world it came from, he said he wasn't sure... I think I heard sassafras once or twice- so I looked them up when I was older and saw that they were both ingredients ,in the recipe for root beer...My grandfather made root beer, hmmm - both roots are added to add flavor and sweetness to the drink :)) !... recalling nicknames people had for you brings back fun memories.
