Fourth Plinth

Today we spent the day in London with my son, Neil and daughter in law, Sandi to have a slightly delayed celebration of my birthday. So a lovely present.....a pretty bracelet and a book I have wanted for ages. We really enjoyed a vegetarian Indian meal. Then a wander around including an hour in the National Portrait Gallery. Finished off the day in one of the new craft beer bars.

This is Gift Horse, the new commission on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square unveiled on March 5. It is a bronze statue of a skeleton of a horse by Hans Haake. It is based on a 1766 engraving by George Stubbs. It is the 10th commission to be displayed.
