Mittagskogel - Austrian/Slovenian border

The Karawanken range separates southern Austria from Slovenia and Italy.

This is the Mittagskogel 2145m near Faakersee and Villach.

We ascended it many years ago - the route is long but fairly straight forward and goes round the back to avoid the precipitous crags in the picture.

It is now the view from my stepmother's sitting room window.
