Sissinghurst Penny Farthing, Sissinghurst, Kent

This is the sculpture of a Penny Farthing Bicycle which stands at the entrance of Sissinghurst Village in Kent.

the sculpture was made and erected a number of years ago when the Tour de France passed through the South East on it's days outside France. It was quite an event with all the support vehicles, media crews and of course the cyclists. Crowds lined the roads for what turned out to be 5 minutes of mayhem passing through.
