Autumn wild flowers

It was such a beautiful morning, perfectly still, not a cloud in the sky and a definite chill in the air, too nice to stay inside and do the chores (any excuse!). Took the camera with the 70-200 lens and played with the light and dew on the grass, and so many other things that I will have to blip another day.  Just loved the colours in these seed heads from a wild flower, not sure what it is and don't actually remember seeing the flowers.
Decided when I got home that it was just too nice to be inside so got started on an autumn cleanup in the garden, such a nice time of the year.

And so pleased to report that the swan who we had seen sitting on her nest last month, is now the proud mother of three small cygnets. I spotted them in the reeds, but wasn't able to get a good clear shot, will hopefully find them again in the next few days.
