The Bride

The wedding took place in Central Park in a place called Cop Cot which is just a little tree covered arbour. The service was beautiful and we were only a handful of twenty people. I used the wrong lens (yes!) I estimated that I would be further away than I actually was and used the 60mm (translates to a 90 on ff) when I could easily have got away with the 35. Nevertheless, plenty more people took pics and we did have a lovely lady photographer called Brook who I'm certain got pictures a lot better than mine :)

The day was quite eventful in that the Heavens opened up and we were all drenched! Thunder clapped and the streets were cascading rivers. Everyone remained in good spirits and we took shelter underneath the awning of The Plaza hotel. This is where I took this candid. We were all huddled on a few steps trying to keep out of the way of the passers by. When Brook had finished with us we decamped to a restaurant in the Meatpacking District and afterwards, took a walk along the Highline above the streets. The weather had cleared by then and we had a lovely afternoon.

After Little R's falling out with Nick, the groom she was rather nervous about the day but she needn't have worried. The first thing Nick said as they arrived for the ceremony was "you look lovely R... " and all was forgotten. What a lovely man :)
