Treasure of the Himalaya

It's drumstick primula time at Arduaine, with hundreds coming into flower. This is the most common colour here though we have white and deep purple red too. I used to have a rather nice variegated one too, called 'KarryAnn', but lost it a while ago

The species seeds about all over the place, but particularly loves the stone path edges where it seeds in the pea-gravel. A native of the Himalayas and elsewhere in the moist parts of Asia. Common, but with good reason!
