Lake Padden Trio

Some days, I can't find anything to blip. Today was not that sort of day!

I've never blipped a singing bird before, so I was delighted to have this little song sparrow do a morning concert in a tree not far from me as I strolled at Lake Padden. You can hear its lovely song by clicking the "Listen" button, and I'm sure you'll agree on how appropriate its scientific name is -- Melospiza melodia!

Coming in a close second was a mallard pair admiring their reflections in the morning light, followed by Lake Padden blues for Freespiral, whose images of reflections are the best I've ever seen.

Feel free to weigh in as to whether I made the best choice for today!
