Boxes

Today I had the opportunity to walk along a shoreline I've never walked on before. There were plenty of photo ops, and I took quite a few pictures. But to tell the story of our winter I had to take some pictures of the ice damage to the local oysters. The tide was very low and all the oysters in sight had frozen and died. We call them box oysters. It was a sore sight and I'm hoping the oysters shells that are left will catch spat and grow and cover this river bottom again.
