Cute newt

I'm sure the neighbours think I'm bonkers as I scan the pond and garden with a torch each night. This evening, despite the wind and rain, there were several newts around in the garden. This one was just making its way out and sat and watched me for a few minutes before sinking back into the weedy depths of the water.
