The Edge of the Wold

Polish blackbird?

Perhaps not.  The blackbirds from eastern Europe that swell the numbers of our resident birds during the winter will probably by now have left for their summer homes (that should please Mr Farage).  And our breeding blackbirds are singing sweetly in the dawn chorus while we wait for the main influx of our Summer visitors from Africa.

I'm falling into bad habits, I didn't get up when the alarm went off this morning.  And I paid for it by missing a glorious dawn.  The backdrop to the photo was the last remnant of the dawn colours.

I have been a bad blipper lately, I've missed too many days and blipversaries and I haven't had time to comment on any journals.  I will try and catch up.
