Pennan, Inc.

The Moray firth is a beautiful part of Scotland...well worth a visit, if only to have tea with Charlie17 and then hop down the coast for scones with CBL.

This is Pennan, a lovely wee village where some of the film Local Hero was shot. Considering that it's well over 30 years since the movie was made, the local hotel continues to make much of the connection, and whenever I visit, tourists are taking photos of the famous red telephone box.

It's a pity therefore, that this iconic piece of cinematic history has lost its door, and now has the smell appearance of an unmanned public loo.....
