Lord of the Rings!!!

I always think that the thermal areas on our lake have a real "Lord of the Rings" feel to them, especially this corner of Hot Water Beach where the late afternoon sun shines through the trees and light up the steam.

We had an American visiting for an overnight stay, we had met his Dad a few years ago while we were travelling in the US...a delightful man who at the age of 72 walked the Appalachinan Trail. Dirk bought a small motorhome and has been travelling NZ for four months. We invited some of the neighbours and spent the afternoon on the lake, it was quite a party!

Consequently a late night and no blip loaded. Also thanks everyone for the wonderful comments about Henry and Ian yesterday, will try and reply but expecting visitors shortly who are staying a few days, so might not get much time. Happy Easter everyone.
