This morning I gave a presentation about colonial Tasmanian land grants to a local history group. It was very well received, and I was relieved to hear that I made a very complicated subject understandable.
After getting home I remembered the one other thing I was supposed to do. Return an overdue dvd to the state library.
So now I'm in town. The after hours library slot is closed. And I want a cup of tea. It's a long weekend, a lot of cafes are closed. So it's to Fullers bookshop's Afterword cafe.
But you can't go to a bookshop cafe without a book, can you?
A purchase was inevitable.
