Sunrise

I awoke to see that the full moon was about to set behind the mountains. I grabbed my camera and hurried out, but it was just passing through a gap between the clouds that crowded over the mountain. The contrast was too great for a single shot image and there was no time to set up the tripod to get a steady two shots at different settings. So I just watched it in all it’s glory for a very few minutes before it vanished.  That was when I realised that I’d gone straight from my bed to the point beyond my garden in my nightie. Fortunately it was still dark and mild.

The sunrise was short and sweet. For a few minutes it was rather lurid, but I preferred this more subdued colour behind a old Angelica seed head.
