Birthday Boy

Today is our second grandson's eleventh birthday and we have had a full day of celebrating starting with Poppa Pete's birthday trumpet solo which probably woke up the whole neighbourhood followed by breakfast and birthday cake. 
We then loaded six bikes up and a picnic and drove to Te Miro Mountain Bike park where Sollie was able to christen his birthday present...a brand new mountain bike from the whole family, on the amazing tracks and jumps in the park. We all followed and it was great fun; especially since the park is set around a gorgeous lake surrounded by beautiful bush and pine tree forest.
Home again about three thirty; us older people had a rest but not Sollie...he was soon out on the roadside jumping a jump he had built yesterday. 
About 6pm his Mum went to town to pick up Pizza which was the requested birthday meal and now we are about to finish with a rugby match on the tele, birthday cake and a cuppa!
