Craters of the Moon

Jumping back a day we went to Craters of the Moon in Taupo which is a small geothermal park.

It's just a small taster of what NZ is famous for. As you walk round you can hear the ground bubbling and hissing - steam rises from random holes and the mud is so hot it bubbles and pops in little wells.

We are off to Rotorua and Wai-o-tapu next week so more smelly stuff to come.
