Impregnable

Security can mean different things to different people. For some it is a healthy bank balance. Then there are those who believe owning property guarantees security but as we have all seen it's not as simple as all that. For a lot of people their belief systems gives them security. For me security is much more tangible because you can't beat a good padlock.

I don't suppose that this is a particularly good lock but it is redolent of foreign promise. A lock which is imprinted with such sigils could be protecting goods from the Orient maybe an ancient store of Jade statues. Or possibly it is an endless supply of spices. More likely it is the door into the churches boiler room.

I don't know what is behind the black door as the lock was good enough to keep me out.
