Swings 'n' roundabouts

Window / Door

Yesterday I came across a blog article that showed a door made by a very creative chap called Armin. Made of stained glass, using Pantone swatches, it really is function & form in perfect harmony.

After a brief discussion with others about its merits, i decided i would (but wont ever get round to ) like a version made of 35mm slides, of images i have taken.

I am a great lover of symmetry & pattern in my, and others images so when working in a new building today, a 1970's designed building, i looked up to the top of a stairwell and saw this skylight window ... the same shape of the door is there, with no colour to distract from the shape and design ... just going to show that colour may enhance, but without the shape and pattern it means so much less. Hardly a ground breaking discovery, but with all the extravagance we experience in this modern day, its nice to appreciate the simple things that go towards making the more complicated.
