F*#ked...

My steering on the steed has been creaking like an arthritic pinnochio.  I never thought I had the tools or knowledge to get into it so I deferred to my trusty bike mechanic.

Turns out it isn't as labour intensive as I thought so in future, I will add it to the period 'take apart, clean and re-grease' schedule.  The opening up happened exactly as I thought it would.  We loosened the forks and the bearings started dribbling out.

This bearing cage shouldn't really look like this.
