Lovely eagle watching day at Riggindale

The Haweswater golden eagle was doing its damnest to woo the Scots - by displaying up very high - surely visible to a female across the border.  Lying on the ground was the best way to avoid neck cricks.
The gale of a week ago had taken its toll on the hide hut, ripping half the shed roof off and shattering it down by the beck.
A wheatear was back and kestrel, buzzard and peregrine were also seen.
