GOD Only Knows

This weekend a slightly bizarre event is taking place in fields near our house. It is called Empire and consists of people dressing up as Orcs and re enacting Orc battles as in Lord of the Rings. I might have that wrong as it's all a bit vague.
There was a bit of consternation on the part of some locals as they thought it would lead to traffic jams noise etc etc,but they seem pretty harmless really. It has rained over the weekend and they are knee deep in mud. It wouldn't appeal to me but each to his own.
We politely asked if we could take photos but they were a bit cautious and referred us to the organizers at the Games Operation Desk aka GOD. GOD decided it would be ok and so we are going back on Monday to get some photos of a big 'battle' taking place then.
