Cock Robin Wood management

I have learnt that I Iive in Edge-lands; on the edge of a town, near the edge of the countryside. Today I walked to the nearest village. passing fields and sheep. I went through this little wood, created when a field was given to the town for permission to build a supermarket nearby. 
Some brutal spring cleaning here, and green plants springing to life as the ground warms up.
