Enjoying a bit of company

What a dull, dreary, damp and cold day this started out to be. Susan's umbrella was the only spot of brightness around. We met this horse on our customary Saturday morning walk into town mainly for our regular coffee at Pop's. Susan did a bit of retail therapy in M & S but that was about it so we walked home, arriving back just as the clouds pulled back and the sun came out.

We weren't expecting to do any gardening work outside today owing to such a dismal morning but the sunny afternoon made cutting the grass and tidying up the edges a task I could no longer postopone. So that's what I did as Susan baked a Victoria Sponge for tomorrow and Monday.
