Go! Get Your Geek On!

Today was the Road Transport Museum's open day. They were running all the working Vintage buses as a free service from town (and other locations) out to the museum so we caught a 1980's bus from town to go and have a look round.

There were a few people like us, just curious individuals, several families with young kids and by far the biggest group - Serious Transport Geeks! They were there in herds, in their slacks and anoraks, carrying clipboards and notebooks, collecting numbers and tickets, and of course, taking photos! So we joined in and blended in!

It wasn't just buses, there were cars, motorbikes and the odd bus too! We even had a ride on a little minibus  that was used for tours around the Lake District in the 1960's It hadn't even been refurbished, it was exactly as it had been back in the day, and I could really "feel" the history!

We came back to town on another old double decker bus - again a 1960's one! We went into Greggs for a late lunch, as we were starving hungry and then walked home.

There is cider and beer in the fridge for later!
