Was It Really So Long Ago

Quiet

There are few things which will keep a young man occupied in silence for an extended length of time. Most on this short list involve delving into corners and cupboards into which young fingers shouldn't delve at all. The silence is a sentinel call to parents. I'm known to enquire of Beloved what young Master H is doing. Both of us look at each other in a quizzical and slightly alarmed way on occasions when he hasn't been heard from for a while. He is known for sitting quietly reading books or putting together puzzles, a pastime he is becoming more and more adept at to a surprising degree. He is also known to be intrigued by his sisters belongings, which can become damaged by enquiring hands when they've carelessly been left lying around the house.

Today though, the reason for his quiet contentment is harmless enough, if a little messy. We're visiting the maternal grandparents' house for chocolate eggs and the celebration of Grandma's birthday.

Happy Easter everyone!

And finally, since the last few days have been so busy, I've back-blipped recent entries here:

Thursday 2nd April: Identity Crisis
Friday 3rd April: Celebration
Saturday 4th April: Easter Cakes
