My Workforce...

... and welcomed tenant.

Today I took possession of an allotment and met my tenant worker a 7 spotted Ladybird (Coccinella 7-punctata).

Surveying my new plot, which is next to my daughter's one, I have 8 fruit trees, possibly all apple, 2 gooseberry bushes, globe artichokes and a clump of daffodils. Grass appears to do well over the remainder of the plot.

My aim is to do some grass maintenance, especially around the trees, sow some wild flowers under them and then make some small raised beds to get some form of production started. A shed and compost heap will be high on my list.
