Sgwarnog: In the Field

Tandem

We spent the day in Chester, walking the walls, pottering about by the river and playing with the squirrels in the park.

These barges were traveling in tandem as they negotiated the sharp turn under Raymond Street Bridge (123J on the Shropshire Union Canal) approaching Tower Wharf. It seemed quite a tricky manoeuvre. The old red sandstone of the bridge is a good indication we're in Cheshire.

Wildlife highlight of the day, a pair of Teal on the Dee.
