Two Firsts.

Another exceptional day in Portland. Having read and heard lots about both ramen (no, not the store-bought kind) and dim sum, but never having eaten them (kind of embarrassing to admit) we found ourselves in The Pearl District in a great little restaurant, Boke, and had both. Everything was home made and sublimely delicious. The young woman serving us quickly identified us as newbies and was exceptionally helpful. Afterwards, we had a brisk walk by the river as the wind picked up and the darkening sky threatened a deluge that turned out to be an empty threat.

Life is good and we are so fortunate.
