Happy Easter

The youngest of the younger generation lined up in preparation for the egg hunt. Six standing and one in arms were patient for my camera. They were actually waiting for one of the adults to shout "Go!" Then they were off. All pretty clothes and decorum were banished in a headlong dash. Down the bluff...fanning out...eyes on the look out for the brightly dyed eggs. Eggs on the ground tucked under bushes and on low branches, and eggs in holes or tucked into crannies. Eggs, eggs everywhere, and seven children under eight seemed to become a dozen. I saw children dive for the same egg, and I saw children give away the egg they had just found to another who had found few. It was a wild time and a wonderful time. And it seemed like yesterday that my own generation lined up on that same bluff before that exciting headlong dash in search of Easter eggs.
