For the Beauty of the Earth

After a bright, warm start the weather turned cloudy and cool by the end of the afternoon, making the bit of gardening I did in Mum's garden a little unpleasant.

Even so, walking round the garden later with the camera bought to mind a hymn from my childhood which seemed very apt for today's Mono Monday theme, and the stripy leaves of some tulips pushing their way up through the earth completed the memory:

For the beauty of the earth,
For the beauty of the skies,
For the Love which from our birth
Over and around us lies:
