Windmill at City of Rocks

I took a lot of photos at City of Rocks near our campsite but it was a long time before I could choose one to post. Lots of cropping and adjusting. In the end, I opted out of the blue sky and looked for the black and white shadows.

City of Rocks is an amazing New Mexico place. Wandering around every turn there is a new surprise. There are alleys, passages, tunnels and plazas. It is impossible to get lost because the park is so small. You can always see the mountains or the campsites as you round the corners. You can re-orient. The dark sky and silent midnight was full of stars. What a great spot for camping.
