The haar

Sunday was a beautiful hot sunny day. I had to hang around on the west side of Edinburgh for an hour or so, waiting for my eldest, Chris, so I went down to Cramond with my book and my camera and sat and drank coffee in the sun. The car park was packed and the ice cream van was doing a roaring trade. But while it may have been sunny on land, the Forth was cloaked in an east coast haar. Despite the mist there were plenty of people setting off along the causeway to the island which I found very odd. Maybe even slightly spooky?
