Iona

Today we visited Iona. We took the ferry from Fionnphort which only took about 15 minutes. The sun came out so I think the Island was definitely at its best!
On arrival we headed up to the North of the island, through the ruined nunnery and further up we we climbed 'Dun I', where we got spectacular views of the north part of the island and found a sheltered spot for our lunch.
We then went to the Abbey run by Historic Scotland and had a look round with use of their fancy headphones where they narrate the history of the Abbey.
Then we headed back the south of the island where we had a little stroll along the beautiful white sand beach before heading back to the ferry.
Back to Tobermory for tea at our now favourite eatery!
