Road Archaeology

This former road linked the villages of Glenfield and Kirby Muxloe in Leicestershire. It used a concrete under-bridge of the M1 motorway constructed in 1966. In the nineties junction 21a was constructed and the route, Inc M1 bridge, was bypassed to accommodate the new junction. This old section is now a relic of that road, used as a cycle way and footpath as well as access to several mobile phone masts.
