Heron Mates in Nest

Our special heron rookery at Marymoor park has sent us an email on the official notice that some heron mates have the eggs in the nest...some are still working on nesting....and the protective fencing has gone up around the bottom to keep the dogs from eating junk the herons drop and away from any babies that may fall out of the nests.
We are so privileged to have them at our dog park...what a funny place they have chosen...they were dislocated from their other "homes" a few years back and chose the dog park we go too so often to build their new "homes" in.  Here you see a pair awaiting the next nesting stage of the eggs!!!  fascinating  to watch them.
