Indian Roller

You do not usually get this close to a 'Roller, they are very shy and suspicious, even though they are usually up high. The view you see when they think you are even just looking up at them, is a flash of two bands of metallic blue-turquoise & navy.
For some reason they are very aggressive towards other birds and the Parakeets positively hate them & mob mercilessly. Very much a beautiful loner, with a rather unattractive voice!
