All quiet (now) on the Western Front.

This is one of a line of these pillbox type structures that once stretched right across the S.W. peninsular, from the coast of Devon to North Somerset and the Bristol Channel, to protect the rest of Britain should Hitler think of invading via the side door. Derelict now, they are a chilling reminder of how close we came. The storm blasted tree still clinging to life seems like the perfect epithet.
Somebody said there was another derilictthursday this week, so I thought this would qualify.
