Rhine Cruise Day Four

A rather good day today, with sunshine. In fact, I got sunburnt... Hadn't reckoned on that!

We moored at Coblenz, where some folk did a tour of the town, while others were taken on a drive along the Moselle to Cochem, to spend the morning. What a very cute wee town! With a spectacular gothic splendour of a castle up on the hill.

Bit of a drama with a couple of old codgers from another tour accidentally tagging along with our group. I did feel sorry for them - easily done... Our tour guide was very good and rang the opposition, and the old folk stuck with us all morning, came back with us for lunch and cruised to the next stop to catch up with their boat, as it had left without them!! Remind me not to book a tour with that company.

We had a tour of the castle, then a wander round town with just time for an ice cream (though JR managed to buy a new top) then back for lunch on the boat and setting sail into the most scenic part of the cruise - the Rhine Gorge. We were on the sun deck, the weather was sunny and hot, the scenery marvellous, the Prosecco flowing... What a splendid way to spend the afternoon.

Funnily enough, most of the folk we've had fun with are dog owners, missing their pooches... One American couple regularly look in on the webcam where their puppy is. I have shared a few photos of Archie. Luckily I do have quite a few photos of him...

We had a pig (I think) towel today!
