(Translated by Gabi Greve)

This is a haiku (a form of Japanese poetry) about tsubaki (camellia) by one of my favourite haiku poets, Kawahigashi Hekigoto. Camellia has been loved by the Japanese since ancient times.

Tsubaki is so beautiful that it creates even amorous atmosphere.
