Brave new world

I've walked past this tower block many times before and not really thought much about it, other than to notice how yellow it is - but I saw it featured on a programme about the 1950s the other evening and it made me look at it in a new light - imagining how new and unlike anything else it would have been when it first appeared on the Golden Lane Estate.  I like the circular things too, whatever they are.

It was my friend Katherine's birthday today so I called her this morning.  Still so tired today - but decided to take a little walk at lunchtime in search of photos and to wake me up a bit.  Had quite a productive day at work - but glad to get home this evening.
