Cowslip

Glorious day, gardening until I'm stiff and looking at all the flowers and plants on the verge of bursting open.  Our lawn at the front has been taken over by Cowslips.  They must have wandered over from the field the other side of the hedge many years ago and now survive in our garden frequently crossing with the primroses and primula producing False Oxslips in yellow and red.  It is quite an art dodging them when mowing the grass!  The shepherds came and sorted the sheep in the turnips and took many of them away I am glad to say but unfortunately they will be on their way to the abbattoir which is always a sad thought.
