Spring is here

Spent the morning with mum in the nursing home.  In the afternoon we took advantage of our new National Trust membership to visit Duffryn Gardens in Cardiff.
We ate dinner with two friends in the evening at a local Turkish restaurant.  It is situated in a run-down area of Cardiff surrounded by fast food cafes.  It doesn't have a license so we took our own wine.
The food and ambience though are really special.  The owner greets you as though he  really wants your custom and can't do enough for you.  The starters are to die for and are accompanied by freshly baked bread.  We shared a colossal sea bass that was really delicious,   A 30 minute walk back to our friends' house on a balmy evening concluded a very special evening.
