Today is a new day...

Gaelic College

We visited the Gaelic College just outside Bowmore to see the photographic exhibition of blipper Feorlean and also George Robertson. We stayed for lunch! This photo is of the wall hanging which was made by the Islay Quilters. It is astonishing in its detail, even shells are sewn in. I have seen it before, but I am always drawn to it for the quality of the work, the detail and the colours which match the water which you can view out of the big windows.

We popped into Bowmore later. There was only one topic of conversation today - the ferries! Ferries have been cancelled and changed due to a breakdown and it is causing chaos.

Port Charlotte Hotel Bar for tea which was lovely. We have managed to miss out on the forecasted rain today but I'm not so sure we will be so lucky tomorrow.

Lots of love to Semi -Q's big cousin who is setting off on another adventure today to South Africa.
