Stairway to Hafren.

Beautiful, sunny day today but a constant blustery wind meant flyfishing was almost impossible where I am. These trout need it presented just so and casting into 20mph blow just ain't going to allow that. I did get three rises in the evening but missed them all.
Instead of getting angry I went for a walk up towards the source of the river Severn through Coedwig Hafren. This was roughly a mile into the wander and I like the soft carpet effect especially with the blown-out sky beyond promising something ethreal.
Which of course it does indeed deliver.
