...safely back in Swanage after our two-day drive from Fivizzano. The sky over Dorset was clear blue until we hit the Purbeck peninsular, which was shrouded in a stole of sea mist. Fortunately, after a pot of tea and a short rest, the sun broke through and smiled on us during our evening stroll.

The fact that it was warmer and sunnier in the UK than it was in Italy (as many friends and family delighted in telling us) became evident when we checked our patio pots and containers! Hopefully, we will be able to revive them. We brought another olive tree back from Tuscany, which is looking great on the terrace.

I took several interesting images while we strolled along Swanage seafront, but this one stood out as the most appropriate. This particular building, near the pier, has become the canvas for some appealing street art. This particular one lends the ruin a distinctive Italian flavour that was reinforced by the conveniently placed Vespa scooter...
