A Rainy Day

Fifth attempt to upload

Today it rained all day. I wasn't fussed because it was another travel day and I prefer the rain when I'm in a train than the sun. The sun can wait until I get out into it.

I was impressed again with the delightful efficiency of Japan Rail. When I got to the front of the reservations queues at about 11:50 am at Hiroshima Station, I said that I would like to go to Takamatsu. The gentleman asked if a train at 12:17 pm would do.

Somehow I've landed on my feet again with a swish hotel. Two beautiful young women escorted me and my case to the room with a view of the pier. The Japanese could teach the Brits about queueing and North Americans about good service.

After lounging about for a bit, I went for a walk to learn my new surroundings. At one point while walking in the rain I thought "I wonder if this is how tourists to Scotland feel...".
