Costa del Clyde

We took Mum down to Gourock for cake at One Cove Rd to celebrate her birthday which was yesterday. while waiting for a table I surveyed the cakes and thought "cherry meringue... How odd." It was only later I realised I had misread it. Chewy meringue made much more sense. And that was Mum's choice. It was a good one; in fact it was so large, it was almost a pavlova!

You can't really see them as this was taken on my phone, but there were 4 warships on the water just off Greenock. I think I read something in the paper about NATO exercise in the area.
